I have graduated from Middle East Technical University, Turkey with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 and came to the United States for graduate study. My PhD is from Lehigh University, PA where I studied a lung disease, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. My main research interests are using microscopy and laser techniques to explore secrets of life. I am a big soccer fan and an aspiring musician. I live in Ithaca with my wife Olcay and our lovely daughter Ayca Neval.
